- LEGALITY & SPACING: We require two vital documents before we can craft your personalised number plate. Docs required: 1. Proof of identification (ideally Drivers Licence) and 2. Proof of entitlement to the registration number (Ideally Log Book V5C, Certificate of Entitlement V750 or Retention Certificate V778). It’s also worth noting that the spacing of the characters in your reg number will be as per DVLA specifications, ensuring road legality.
- The plates do not come pre-drilled
- TIP: Stick masking tape around the number plate to mark the position before removing from vehicle, use this mark as a guide when fitting the new number plate.Fitting:
1. Screws and Caps – if you are using screws, please do not drill through the gel letters or numbers as this will damage them. Drill from the back of the plate gently, starting with a small drill bit first. Do not tighten the screws as it may crack the plate.2. Sticky pads – ensure surface is 100% Clean and Flat. Apply at least 5 sticky pads on the back of each plate equidistantly. Fix plate to vehicle and press on it with body pressure for 30 seconds (to ensure the bonding process is underway). Give the sides a tug to make sure number plate it is well secured.3. Plate Holders – gel badges are approximately 2mm away from the edge of the plate, so it may or may not touch the plate holder, depending on what type you use.
